Newlands Brewery dates back to the 1800's and offers food and beer tastings, and tours of their preserved buildings and artefacts.
Newlands Brewery implores you to "come enjoy a taste of history." They offer #BeerExperience Tours on Mondays at 11am and 3pm, Tuesdays to Thursdays at 10am, 12pm and 2pm, Fridays at 10am , 12pm, 2pm and 4pm, Wednesday evenings at 6pm and Saturdays at 10am and 12pm. Due to the popularity of the tours, advanced reservations are required.
On the tour you will discover the rich history of this famous brewery and gain insights into their craftmanship and modern-day brewing techniques. The tour takes about an hour and ends with a beer tasting and a chance to enjoy a couple of pints in the brewery's historic pub.
There is also a merchandise shop called The Brewshop with a wide selection of beer-centric items, home pub "must-haves" and SAB & Newlands Brewery branded goods.
Tours cost R100pp (R60 pp for pensioners and/or students) and includes the beer tasting and two complimentary drinks. Flat, closed shoes are required.
