In Amanzimtoti's popular Galleria Mall, there's a place you can turn to that puts the "ice" in "nice". The Galleria Ice Rink is a fully-fledged, state-of-the-art, real ice, ice rink.
For your convenience, the ice rink has a skate shop located inside the rink, where you can purchase leisure hockey skates, figure skates as well as other accessories. They even offer skate-sharpening services. There are also electronic lockers available which will allow you to store your valuables safely whilst skating.

The ice rink is open seven days a week with the following sessions:

One of the cool aspects of the Galleria Ice Rink is that it offers a live DJ session on a Friday night as well as late-night skating on Saturday nights.
The costs involved at Galleria Ice Rink
Galleria Ice Rink has an entry fee of R60 per person per two-hour session and their skate hire fee is R30. If you decide to book for 10 people or more, you'll only need to pay R55 per person and Sunday Night Madness is R55 per person as well. Visit the ice rink on a Tuesday and you only pay half the price for a full session of fun.
The ice rink also offers a cheap skate card which is a bulk entry card for 10 visits, that can also be used for parties. This card is R650 for 10 entries plus skate hire and is valid for multiple visits and skaters. For those with their own skates, the bulk entry card is R450 for 10 visits. The cheap-skate card is sold at the Galleria Ice Rink ticket office.
Penguin hire, which is a skating aid, costs R75 per session. This is useful for young kids and beginners as a skating aid to assist in achieving skating confidence.
Galleria Ice Rink also has party group rate options at R65 per child and is inclusive of skate hire for 10 or more skaters. They also offer party packs for R35 which include a cold drink, chips and sweets. If you are booking a party, you are welcome to take your own food and drink through to the venue but also have the option to buy food and drink from any of the multiple restaurants surrounding the rink should you wish.
