Mauritius opens its doors

Category News

As we approach the end of 2020, we take time to reflect on a year which has most certainly literally turned our world around. 'Coronavirus', 'Covid-19', words which are now part of our daily conversations, words which are mentioned a hundred times on news channels and on the radio, words which we hope will soon disappear from the face of the earth...

This virus has causped so much heartache and pain all over - deaths, job losses, borders closed, lockdowns, so much uncertainty and so much anxiety as to what the future holds for us as human beings, as business owners, as bread winners...

But in life we always have two choices - to choice between bad and good, the choice between crying and laughing, the choice between allowing ourselves to being overtaken by anxiety or to let the peace fill up our souls and to me the choice is always very simple; in that case will allow myself to be overtaken by anxiety make any difference in the circumstances of life currently? The answer being a big 'No', I chose to allow myself to be filled with peace and positivity and I chose to be free from the chains of this 'Covid-19'.

My name is Severine Dalais-Pietersen, I live on the beautiful Covid-safe island of Mauritius where we do live normally and do follow all the basic rules of protecting ourselves by wearing a mask when we go put in public places and by sanitising our hands. Other than that, we are free to meet up with friends and family, to go to the gym, to swim in the sea, to eat out in restaurants and to enjoy the beautiful summer blue sky which we get to wake up to every morning. Why am I talking about all this? Because I would like to invite all of you to come and 'be free' with us here in Mauritius. How do we do that, you may ask? Well the Government in a act to encourage eligible visitors come to Mauritius for long stays has introduced the Premium Visa Travel valid for a period of one year, renewable, to welcome esteemed travellers seeking to prolong their feeling of wellness arising from the gorgeous turquoise blue sea with silky sand beaches, tropical lagoons, the lush greens, the warmth and friendliness of locals, all in a COVID-safe destination.
