On the outskirts of Sandton and the inside edge of Fourways, Craigavon was once dirt roads and open veld. The ugly stork dancing to "Pretty Woman" always brings a laugh. Or, you can wander around through the various enclosures with the kids. There is a café restaurant in the Bird Park, but you can also pop into Monte Casino before or after your outing and visit one of the many restaurants.

Craigavon's superb location in the Fourways area means main roads and highway interchanges are easily accessible. The geographic position of Craigavon within Johannesburg, Gauteng means that commuters to the Sandton and Johannesburg central business districts can expect a 30 to 40-minute drive in average traffic conditions. If travelling north to the Midrand / Mall of Africa precinct, it's an easy 15 to 20-minute drive. The Fourways precinct is, of course, on your doorstep if you live in Craigavon. The major OR Tambo International Airport is about 40 kilometers away, and you can expect a 35-minute drive if using the N1 and M1 highways.
