Brooklands Lifestyle Estate at a glance

Brooklands Lifestyle Estate is a fairly new Estate situated in the suburb of Kosmosdal. The Estate consists of three separate Estates and was developed in 2005. Each Estate has a small clubhouse and swimming pool for use by the residents. The security is top class and each Estate is surrounded by an electric fence whilst the entrance gates are manned 24/7 by security guards. A small stream runs through the Estate and provides a wetland habitat for birdlife. The Estate is situated to the South of Centurion.

The Estate consists of approximately 914 houses and townhouses. The suburb is popular with the middle class as it is situated with easy access to the Ben Schoeman Highway (N1) to Midrand and Johannesburg. The type of properties varies and includes houses and townhouses. The freehold stands range in size from 475 sm to 900 sm. The price of houses ranges from R980,000 to R2,510,000 (2012) (Average of R1,453,000) whilst the price of townhouses ranges from R680,000 to R890,000 (2012) (Average of R782,000). Vacant stands vary in price from R350,000 to R690,000 (2012). Due to the fact that the Estate is still fairly new, 98% of the owners have lived in the Estate for less than nine years.

The Estate is bordered by The Reeds to the North, Rooihuiskraal Road (M37) to the West, Ben Schoeman Freeway (N1) to the East and Samrand Road to the South.

Brooklands Lifestyle Estate will take a few years before it can boast of having large established gardens and big trees. However, it is well on its way to becoming one of the most popular smaller Estates in Centurion. The Estate is ideally located for those who require easy access to the Highway.

Shopping Centres in the immediate vicinity include the Reds Mall, Blue Valley Mall and San Ridge Mall. The surrounding suburbs also have number of smaller shopping centres with the usual cafes and convenience stores.

Sports facilities close to the Estate include ballet, dance, virgin active gym, diving, golf driving range, blue valley golf club, karate, squash, tennis, badminton, wrestling, athletics etc.

Brooklands Lifestyle Estate is central to a number of schools including Rooihuiskraal Primary, Uitsig High, Eldoraigne High, Zwartkop High, Bakenkop Primary, Hennopspark Primary, Springvale Primary, Cresta College, Montessori, and Wierda Park Primary. There are also thirty nine Nursery Schools and crèches in the surrounding suburbs of Rooihuiskraal and The Reeds.

Many parks are available for children to use the surrounding suburbs of Rooihuiskraal and The Reeds. The closest Post Boxes are situated in Rooihuiskraal and the Post Office is situated in The Reeds in Bothrill Road. The nearest library is situated in Rooihuiskraal on Tiptolhoekie. A number of Guest Houses are available in Rooihuiskraal and The Reeds. Churches in the area include Baptist, Gereformeerde, NG, AGS, Christ is the way, New Life, Methodist, Apostolic, etc. The Medipark Medical Centre as well as the Provincial Clinic is situated in Rooihuiskraal.

The Estate also offers easy access to the N1 and N14, for commuters travelling by car to either Pretoria, Midrand, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, Krugersdorp, OR Tambo International Airport as well as Lanseria Airport.

The closest police station is the Wierda Bridge Police Station situated in Valhalla.
