Category Area Focus

If adventure is your middle name and your spirit thrives on being in the outdoors, you've stumbled upon the perfect place. Acrobranch Tree Top Adventure Park in the beautiful setting of Constantia is the one-stop destination for letting your hair down.

What to expect

Acrobranch caters to groups of children and adults of varying ages. The activities are compiled of a number of fun obstacles for you to complete. They include:

  • Zip lining
  • Tarzan swings
  • Nets
  • Bridges

You are fitted with a reliable safety harness and each course lasts around 2 hours. Acrobranch aims to encourage people with a fear of heights to overcome their wariness by introducing interactive ways to experience nature with their loved ones. Everyone who signs up for the obstacle courses receives training prior to beginning. This helps with getting acquainted with the equipment and navigation of activities.

How to secure your day of fun

You can book an adventure on the website. Simply fill in your detailed information about how large your group is, what ages need to be catered for and the level you would enjoy. Safety harnesses are limited, so a pre-made booking will ensure there is enough equipment to go around.

Solo adventurers are welcome as walk-ins, however, it's always better to err on the right side of caution and make a booking for yourself. You don't have to be part of a team to conquer the Acrobranch obstacles!

Staying comfortable

While swinging from tree tops and zipping through the air sounds like the most freeing thing on earth, you will need to be properly attired for these activities. You are advised to wear closed-toe shoes with good tread, and loose-fitting clothing and those with long hair should have it tied back so as not to obscure your vision or movement in any way. Climbing gloves are also recommended. You can purchase them at the facility at a cost of R20 each, or simply bring your own pair along.

Once you've exhausted your quota of physical energy for the day, it might be time to spruce up and head to La Colombe Constantia for the most spectacular fine dining experience in the continent and one of the World's 50 Best Restaurants.

Safety first

Acrobranch assures all its thrill seekers that the activities they will participate in are completely safe. While you may feel like Daredevil, you will be as safe as can be. While you will be climbing, a metal loop called a carabiner will be attached to your harness and rope. Thill will ultimately allow you to have control over your movements while feeling secure.

The helpful instructors are on hand at all times to assist and keep an eye on each person. Whether you need help with your harness or want advice on how to attempt a particular course, Acrobranch provides peace of mind every step of the way. Note that indemnity forms need to be signed beforehand for both adults and children.

Pick your favourite challenge

Swinging Tarzan

Known as the most difficult of the courses, you can expect to be tangled in the rope bridge and 32 obstacles before encountering the 60-metre-long zip line. This course is perfect for team-building exercises as it tests your courage and coordination.

Acro-Twigs

This kiddie-friendly course encompasses two zip lines, obstacles and swinging bridges. It isn't too high off the ground so it is a wonderful way for children to build confidence and warm up to tackling other obstacles. It's suitable for children who are 3 years and older.

Tree Hugger

Calling all aspiring trapeze artists! This course is a mixed bag of activities, where you get to explore your balance and hand-eye coordination the most. It's suitable for children over 7 years old and can be enjoyed in beginner or intermediate options.
