Lower Robberg at a glance

Lower Robberg is a mature, leafy suburb of Plettenberg Bay, and one that is eagerly sought after by residents and visitors alike. Many properties are elevated, affording spectacular sea and mountain views.

The main attraction is the long Robberg Beach flanked by the well known Beacon Isle Resort to the East and the unspoilt nature reserve of the Robberg Peninsula to the West.

The glorious, white, sandy Robberg Beach is only a few minutes' walk from your home, where whales and dolphins are frequently spotted as you enjoy a long, peaceful stroll beside the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Swimming is safe with lifeguards posted at regular intervals during season (November to April). It is the perfect spot for family beach picnics.

For those who enjoy hiking and the wilder side of nature Robberg Peninsula offers a variety of nature trails and the opportunity to spot seals, sea birds and other small fauna.

This picturesque area of Lower Robberg has its own shopping centre, while the vibrant town centre of Plettenberg Bay is but a few minutes' drive away.
