Bezuidenhout Valley is surrounded by some of Johannesburg's top schools. There is a wide choice from primary to high school from which to choose. Jeppe High School for Girls has a strong emphasis on academics. Jeppe Boys High School focuses on sports as well as culture and academics. Promising a well-rounded education experience. Other schools in the area include Jeppe Prep for primary education. Reddam House is a private school offering an alternative to mainstream education, Leicester Road, Athlone girls and Cyrildene primary. All these schools are near Bezuidenhout Valley.

Shopping in the Area 

Seven Minutes (3.9 km) away from Bez Valley you can find Bruma's Oriental City. It has many shops offering items like beads and toys and a wide diversity of other items. Park Meadows community and lifestyle Centre is only nine minutes away in Kensington, and it has 45 stores. The stores include Food Lovers Market, Dischem and Pick n Pay. There is also a Wimpy. There are also various other eateries and coffee shops in the area. Across the road from the Park Meadows community and lifestyle Centre is Eastgate, which is known as a super-regional Shopping Centre. Bedford Centre is a more affluent shopping experience only 14 minutes (5,8 km) away. The closest shopping mall to Bez Valley is the Darras Center in Kensington, which offers both convenience and a wide range of outlets.

Residents of Bez valley are 6 minutes (11km) away from Netcare Linksfield Hospital. And 12 minutes away from Life Bedford Gardens Hospital. Both of these hospitals are fully equipped. Offering clinical excellence and quality care for their patients. There are also pharmacies in the area.

Restaurants in Bezuidenhout Valley

Ottima Restaurant in Queen Street in Kensington is a popular eatery with good wholesome food. There is also Pastelaria Princesca in the same street. At the Eastgate mall there is a food court, as well as restaurants which include Simply Asia, Piatto and Mozambik. Bedford Centre has some fabulous restaurants from which to choose, some of the options include John Dory's  and Salsa Mexican restaurant and Tequileria. In Bez Valley there are also corner cafes and takeaways.

Special attractions close to the Bezuidenhout Valley area include Eastgate shopping Centre with its many restaurants and entertainment options.

In Bedford Center there is a Planet Fitness, this mega-club offers a biokineticist, boxing studio, heated swimming pool as a few of its many offerings. And, Observatory Golf Club, which is a popular golf club with lush fairways and stunning views can be enjoyed by local golf enthusiasts. They also have affordable and cost-effective offerings.
