  • Bisley Valley Nature Reserve

The Bisley Valley reserve includes 350 hectares of thornveld and grassland that is ideal for individuals who wish to spend time in nature close to home. There are designated walking paths along the river and dams in the reserve. Aside from various small animals, you may also anticipate seeing giraffes and antelope. The remnants of the previous shooting range may still be seen. Birders are also known to flock to the reserve.

  • Harry Gwala Stadium

  • Italian Prisoner of War Church

The Italian Prisoner of War Church is located a few minutes away from Scottsville. The chapel was built in 1944 by Italian POWs from Camp 4 and is being used by the Italian community today since it is linked to their history in South Africa.

Every year on the final Sunday in October, a special prayer is conducted to honour the courageous inmates who inspired the construction of the cathedral as a legacy of their faith.
