Seeff Dolphin Coast emerges anew as Seeff North Coast and Seeff Zimbali

Category News

To keep a business relevant within an ever-changing environment, leaders have to get out of their comfort zone, take intelligent risks and ensure that they formulate relevant and deliberate strategies with both the present and future in mind.

From 2009 Seeff Dolphin Coast successfully operated in the greater Ballito area and surrounds under the leadership of its three partners Andreas Wassenaar, Mark Johnson and Tim Johnson. This office was continually recognised and acknowledged nationally for their consistently strong sales and marketing performances and innovative strategies.

In line with an approach that was also being interrogated within Seeff nationally, Seeff Dolphin Coast decided to separate their business into two distinct designated geographical areas. This was done in order to improve their focus on specific chosen market segments and to assertively and independently build the Seeff brand in a fast-growing market.

The two separate operational areas which have been apportioned in a bold and proactive approach are Seeff Zimbali, led by Andreas Wassenaar, incorporating Zimbali Coastal Resort, Zimbali Lakes Resort, Seaward Estate, Port Zimbali Estate, Hilltop Private Estate, Westbrook Beach and the suburbs southwards towards La Mercy; and Seeff North Coast, led by Mark and Tim Johnson, encompassing Ballito and all areas northwards extending right up to the Tugela River. “We believe that this new area segmentation is going to have invaluable strategic and operational benefits. Serviced by two offices, the first of which is in the new Salt Rock Shopping Centre, and the second satellite space in Simbithi Office Park, our rebranded ‘Seeff North Coast’ business will be better positioned to effectively serve the long-term demand for this area’s real estate,” says Mark.

“Changing the status quo rather than maintaining it to potentially create a better future was not an easy decision,” says Tim, “but our long-term thinking and steadfast goal to be positioned as a leading North Coast real estate player makes the short-term adjustments well worth it. With a segmented area to focus on and of course with the committed support of our staff, we are extremely excited about the future growth of this area. Now that we have settled into our beautiful new premises we are well positioned to leverage the new opportunities that have been presented to us and continue to act as a gateway into the burgeoning North Coast.”

After 23 years in residential real estate sales, Andreas Wassenaar believes that focus determines success in real estate. He says that rather than broadening the focus, Seeff Zimbali will narrow its focus to service its select areas. “Enjoying a dominant market position within Zimbali Coastal Resort, this focus ensures that Seeff Zimbali will continue to attend to these sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants with uncommon service. Seaward Estate is also a very popular market, and Seeff Zimbali is looking forward to providing Seaward home owners and residents with the same level of service.”
