Diep River is named after the Diep River that runs through the area. It is close to two railway stations Steurhof and Diep River, granting residents easy access to and from the area.

Things to see and do in Diep River

Rietvlei Wetland Reserve is a large freshwater wetland on the floodplain of the Diep River and is a birder’s paradise. There are also picnic spots for braaing and enjoying a day out with family and friends.

A number of other activities to enjoy in the Diep River area include boxing classes and Hatha Yoga, dependent on the kind of stress relief that best suits you, at Takedown MMA on Main Road. They also offer Mixed Martial Arts classes and Zumba classes.

For fresh produce including organic vegetables, free range eggs and chicken, farm made butter, homemade ice-cream, fresh fish and much more visit the Larder Cafe Food Market from Monday to Friday from 08h30 to 16h30 and on Saturdays from 09h00 to 13h30.
