Founded over twenty-five years ago by the Lions Club of Hout Bay, the Hout Bay Lion’s Craft Market has been using this venue to raise funds for a variety of community projects sponsored by the Lions Club since its inception.

This family friendly, local and tourist favourite has cemented itself into the hearts of the Hout Bay community. The family friendly environment extends to the crafters and sellers who have become a broad extended family over the decades of operation. Market goers will find something for everyone at this eclectic market with a country feel, some of the local treasures include wire art, wood craft, jewelry and hand-made toys and dolls.
