THE SEEFF PLATTEKLOOF STORY

Our story begins with real estate attorney Johan Jacobs deciding to leave Mpumalanga for a new adventure in the Western Cape. Fueled by his passion for the property business, he purchased the Plattekloof license area. Since opening its doors in 2017, Seeff Plattekloof has grown from humble beginnings to a force to be reckoned with.

With more than 30 years’ of experience, Johan Jacobs was a senior partner in one of the largest and best-known law firms in Mpumalanga. He managed the conveyancing, tax and commercial departments as well as assisting clients with all conveyancing concerns, from the transfer of their first home to complicated transactions such as Township Registration and Sectional Title Schemes.

A NEW CHAPTER

In 2020, Johan and his partner bought a house on the corner of Kronenberg and Plattekloof Road (Rothschild and Giel Basson) and transformed the family home into a welcoming office where staff and agents greet clients with a cup of coffee and expert service and advice on all property matters.
Johan has created an environment for the agents to thrive in and where they can work together as a powerful team.

Our office has become a well-known landmark in the area.
We have six qualified agents, four of whom have qualified as Achiever Agents as defined by the Seeff criteria. They have all achieved remarkable success over the past two years. Ten of our interns are in the process of qualifying as real estate practitioners.

We believe training and innovation are the cornerstones of success and we use innovative technology to the benefit of all our clients. As a result we were one of the five finalists for Seeff's Most Improved Branch in South Africa for 2021.

During the past year, we have sold more than 95% of our Sole Mandates within the mandate period, in most cases at full selling price. We believe in being honest with our clients about the value of their property. When we do an appraisal, we calculate the proper value and never mislead our clients - one of the main reasons for our success.

Our rental book has grown steadily over the last five years, and today we boast with record rentals. Topping it all we have a rental property of R66000 per month managed by us.

The areas we serve are Plattekloof, Panorama, Baronetcy Estate, Welgelegen, Kleinbosch, Monte Vista, Plattekloof Glen, Edgemead, Bothasig, Richwood, Burgundy Estate and De Zicht. In 2021 we also expanded to Parow, which includes areas such as Churchill Estate, De Tijger Parow North, Avondale - and to Bellville, which includes areas such as Oakdale, Oakglen, Boston, Stellenridge, and the Bloemhof area. In terms of value for money and location, these areas show excellent growth and return on investment.
