Found in the city of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality is Marlboro, a suburb in the Sandton area. This suburb is divided into two zones: a residential area originally founded as a residence known as Marlboro Gardens and the Marlboro Industrial area in the south of the suburb.

This suburb is bounded by Fifth Street to the north, Pretoria Main Road to the west, Seventh Avenue to the east, and First Street and Vasco Da Gama Street to the south.

During the 1980s, the roads of this suburb were tarred for the first time, and houses and about 50 blocks of flats were built. Since then, there has been a population increase in the suburb, and people from all over Johannesburg now call the suburb home.

It also connects through Midrand and into the city of Pretoria.

Summers are wonderful... the sun shines 80% of the time, and remarkable thundershowers often punctuate the afternoons. Winters are crisp, with temperatures reaching single-digit degrees in the nighttime and early mornings. Characteristically dry, winters are short-lived in the June to August months.
