Weather in Beverley

Beverley, Johannesburg is in the Highveld region of South Africa. Although near the Tropic of Capricorn, the area doesn't experience the same extreme subtropical heat as other regions. This is because the Johannesburg surrounds are on a high-lying plateau, resulting in cooler temperatures. The cold months last just for just two-and-a-half months of the year (late May until early August), and they are crisp, dry days. The rainy season is over the summer months. That said, rain is usually in the form of brief, rolling thundershowers in Johannesburg. Summer days are balmy, with temperatures soaring to 34 or 36 degrees Celsius on the hottest days. Evenings are pleasant, and sunsets over Johannesburg are pretty spectacular.
