Berario at a glance

Lying north west of the CBD, the small, pretty suburb of Berario in Johannesburg is situated just below Lower Northcliff at the base of Northcliff Hill and is bordered on its other side by the suburb of Fairland.

Berario‘s sheltered position at the base of the mountain enables it to enjoy protection from harsh climatic elements, resulting in both mild winters and summers. The Berario area is well treed and quiet with lovely gardens and birdlife. Homes tend to be smaller than most of those in Northcliff making it an exceptionally popular and affordable area for young families who also enjoy the proximity of the good schools in Northcliff and Fairland. Northcliff Primary school and Northcliff High are both within walking distance of Berario.

Established shortly after development commenced in Northcliff, Berario enjoys an excellent location, close to all the amenities enjoyed by Northcliff and Fairland. Lying within the ring road, close to the Wesbank and FNB Campuses, MTN Head Office, Cresta and with easy access to University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg University and the Sandton and Johannesburg CBDs, Berario is a sought after area with much to offer a prospective resident.

The Berario Community Centre offers a wide range of activities and a small park like area. The Berario Scout Hall, established in the 60s, has become a popular landmark that has served the community for 50 years. It has a huge number of activities and classes on offer, as does the nearby Northcliff Country Club in Weltevreden road.

Residential property in Berario has proven to be a good investment that has shown excellent appreciation through the years. Seeff Properties Randburg has extensive experience in dealing with Berario residential properties and will be able to guide a prospective buyer through the many options, which include residential homes, townhouses, apartments and small offices (near the Berario Shopping Centre).
