Arcadia's proximity to Gauteng's largest cities makes commuting and getting around easy. A trip to Pretoria Central will only take roughly 10 minutes and 2,3 km via Nana Sita Street/M2. You can get to O.R. Tambo International Airport in 36 minutes (50,1 km) if you use route R21.
 
Climate
 
Arcadia has a pleasant and moderate climate. Summers in Arcadia are dry, while winters are wet. The warmest month is August, with 24,8 °C temperatures, and the coldest month is December, with 11,5 °C temperatures. The average yearly rainfall is 430 mm.
 
Schools in the area
 
Arcadia and its surrounding areas offer excellent schools to provide children with a high-quality education. Schools in the area include Royal Schools Princess Park, Arcadia Primary School, Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool Pretoria, and Pretoria Technical High School.
 
There are also high-quality private schools in Arcadia, including SA College Private School (SACPS) and Pro-Ed Private School.
 
Healthcare in the area
 
If you find yourself needing medical attention, Arcadia is close to many hospitals, some of which are Mediclinic Muelmed, Mediclinic Heart Hospital, Netcare Femina Hospital, and Mediclinic Medforum. Netcare Jakaranda Hospital, Louis Pasteur Private Hospital, and Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital are also within a short drive.
 
Shopping centres
 
Arcadia offers many nearby shopping centres, such as Sterland Mall and Sancardia Shopping Centre, so you don't have to go far to buy anything you need. Sunnypark Shopping Centre and Eastwood Village are within close proximity and are both easily accessible by car.

Several restaurants are close by, making it easy to meet new people while tasting Arcadia's local cuisine. Local dining options include The Blue Room Hatfield, Braai Block, Cafe 41 Eastwood Village and Eastwoods.

1. Union Buildings gardens: The Union Buildings' outside gardens are available to the public. If you go for a walk, you'll find a memorial to the soldiers who died in World War I and a place for statues of past presidents.
 
2. Pretoria Art Museum: Local art has long been a priority for the Pretoria Art Museum. It has permanent collections of paintings, sculptures, graphics, tapestries, photographic prints, and ceramics displayed in rotating exhibitions. It also hosts frequent temporary exhibitions of work by local artists.
 
3. Ditsong: Museums Of South Africa: The history museum consists of eight museums, seven located in Tshwane and one in Johannesburg. The Ditsong Museum Of Natural History has collections of wildlife, flora, palaeontology, military history, cultural history, geology, anthropology, and archaeology.
 
4. Venning Park: The park's rosarium, which occupies a space of 620 square metres, is home to more than 3,000 rose plants representing 30 different types. Beautiful roses have made the rosarium park, established by the Northern Transvaal Rose Society, the focal point of attraction in Arcadia since it opened its doors.
