A brief history of the area

Woodstock originated from the convergence of three farms, namely Zonnebloem, Leliebloem, and Roodebloem, which were established on the picturesque slopes of Devil's Peak back in 1692. Initially named Papendorp, after the arrival of Pieter van Papendorp, a settler who made his home in the vicinity during the mid-1700s, the area eventually transformed into the vibrant neighbourhood of Woodstock.

Woodstock residents looking to reach Cape Town International Airport can do so in approximately 25 minutes (15,4 km) via the N2 and Cape Town City Centre is an eight-minute drive (4,2 km) via the N1.

The warmest month of the year is February with an average temperature of 20.1 °C while July is the coldest month, with temperatures averaging 13.0 °C.
