The Bike Park, located at Constantia Uitsig is a massive park for mountain bikers and BMX’ers of all ages and skill levels.
This world-class venue, designed by Downhill World Champion, Chris Nixon, features 2.8kms worth of different pump tracks, beginner jump lines, expert drop-offs, switchbacks, rock gardens, a wooden berm, rollers and a suspension sky bridge that ends in a corkscrew exit.
There is also a cozy hideout for cyclists and spectators called the Bike Barn. It features a pitstop with bike repair facilities and a dual slalom race track.
There are also bike party hire facilities that include 2 tables and benches that host up to 20 guests. The venue hire fee is R600 plus R65 per rider.
There is also a bike shop with bikes available for hire from R50 – R120 per hour and skills coaching by Jessi Nixon, Andrew Reaper and Chris Nixon himself. To view prices and book a time slot be sure to visit their official website. Protection gear (including knee pads, elbow pads and helmets) are also available for hire.
The Bike Park offers the opportunity for a great day outdoors with the whole family and is the perfect venue to practice and hone your biking skills.
BMX’s, mountain bikes and cyclocross are all welcome.
Opening hours: 7 days a week, from 8am until 6pm
Price: R65 per day (no charge for spectators) or R850 per year. There is a special R40 off-peak charge between 8-9am daily. Gift cards are also available.
