Jack Black's Taproom

Jack Black’s Taproom is situated in the heart of Diep River. Jack Black is known for some of the best beers coming out of Africa. A simple but delicious food menu is also on offer including their famous Butcher Block Burger and tasty chilli poppers.

The Taproom hosts a number of themed events every month including Food Truck Friday on the last Friday of every month, and various others, including 2 for 1 Burger Nights, Jazz Nights & Quiz Nights.

The décor of the venue is a blend of a working brewery with that of a German beer hall which allows for a very festive social atmosphere.

Tavern n Ale

The Tavern n Ale pub in Diep River is the oldest pub in the Southern Suburbs. They offer daily pub menu specials and their happy hour is between four and eight pm.  

The Ale is the perfect pub for a good party after dinner at the adjoining restaurant, with live music 7 nights a week.

For avid sport followers there are several big screen TV’s that show all major sporting events.

The Bounce Pizza Bar & Club is situated along the Southern Strip, a length of the Main Road in Plumstead that is packed with a host of pubs and restaurants.

This large, vibey dance venue opens from 6pm till 2am every Friday & Saturday night. It’s the perfect place to pop into with your friends, share a pizza and have an awesome party.

Mambo’s

Mambo's Pub and Restaurant in Plumstead is one of those tucked away little gems known only to the locals.

This quaint thatched roof cottage with outside seating under the tree is an idyllic setting for late afternoon cocktails and dinner under the stars.

They host spit braai parties, available for parties of 30 to 50 people at R120 per head. Patrons will enjoy a lamb spit with roast baby potatoes, onions, rolls and Greek salad.
