Pennington is a small coastal village halfway between Durban and Port Shepstone, which has easy access to the N3 freeway and to the Drakensberg on the R612 via Umzinto and Highflats. Bushbuck, mpithi, hyrax, mongoose and otters can be found on the estate, while a herd of impala has also been seen. Bird life is abundant and numerous duck species live around the clubhouse dam. Woolly necked storks, crested cranes, guinea fowl and kingfishers are all regular visitors.
The estate is fully fenced with 24-hour gate controlled access and night-time security patrols.
