Your journey with St Francis Bay Adventures

You will depart from Small Boat Harbour, La Digue place, St Francis Bay and embark on the waterways of the St Francis Bay Canals aboard a pontoon-style river barge Topsy or a six-seater speedboat Viking. You will have a professional guide who will share fun stories and interesting facts about the canals, their history and the ecosystem they support. The cruise is suitable and fun for all ages with minors under the age of 12 requiring supervision from a guardian. All guests participating in the cruises are required to sign indemnity forms before departing on the cruise.

The duration of the cruise is between 45 minutes to an hour and guests must arrive at the boat at least 10 minutes before the departure time. 

The fees involved are R250 per adult and R120 per child under the age of 12. Children who are under the age of three are able to participate for free.

You are allowed to take your own refreshments along and picnic on the boat as you cruise around the canals taking in the views, making it a great activity for families, friends and couples alike.

Some important information on St Francis Bay Adventures

Should you wish to make a booking for six people or more, you will be required to pay a 50 per cent non-refundable deposit and a booking of no less than two people is compulsory. The maximum capacity is 14 people but should your group be more than 14 people, more boats can be arranged. 

Their luxury imported 14-seater barge known as 'River Break' is designed and licensed to carry up to 14 passengers along the waterways of not only the canals but the Kromme River as well.
