Elaine Chetty Nominated as Chairperson of Zululand Business Women’s Association.

Category News

Owner of Seeff Richard’s Bay, Elaine Chetty has been named Chairperson of Zululand Business Woman’s Association.

A year ago, Chetty joined the Business Women’s Association, wanting to be a part of what she describes as, “A great organization that seeks to empower women entrepreneurs.”

And while her business acumen and exceptional insight into how to grow business sustainably and solidly in a highly competitive industry (they plan to double the size of their current offices in the next year), she says good business is about more than just the bottom line, hinting that the bottom line itself is shaped by the way in which you do good business.

“We work as a team,” Chetty says of her team of agents, “and everyone has a heart to care about the process, the client, and the result.” She is described as industrious, methodical and gifted with the ability to reduce waste and introduce systems that improve productivity.

The position of Chairperson is designed to lead and uplift existing and future women entrepreneurs. “I am humbled to be placed in this extremely responsible role,” says Chetty who plans to implement the same high standards she applies at her Seeff office, to the growth of the role itself. “I constantly benchmark against industry leaders in every walk of life, to learn more everyday. The same applies to my business as I seek to ensure that my business is always pushing the boundaries to grow. I firmly believe there are no bad teams, only bad leaders – as a result, I ensure that my team is taken care of and I pay attention to the soft issues in leadership, coaching, and mentoring my team to new heights.”

In 2016, Seeff Richards bay has shown a growth of just over 20% for the fifth consecutive year. With 26% of the market share, their success formula includes being authentically and actively involved in the community – they are also leaders in their region in online marketing and their community social investment initiatives are both consistent and wide-spread.
