Looking for your next caffeine fix? Look no further. Here is a list of some of the best cafés that Wynberg has to offer. Whether you’re looking for a casual meeting spot, a vibey work space or a place to grab a light meal with a hot drink, the area has a few great coffee shops to try.

Four & Twenty

This delightful little gem is situated in the quaint Chelsea Village area of Wynberg. Four & Twenty brings a touch of Paris to the Southern Suburbs with a bustling atmosphere and menu to delight all visitors. The two owners, Tracey-Leigh and Marijke, travelled to France when they were twenty-four-years-old and, upon their return, opened the café on 24 April 2013.

Four & Twenty serves all-day breakfasts, wholesome lunches, creative pastries and a range of sweet treats and confectionaries. Their menu is inspired by French cuisine; Four & Twenty specialises in signature benedicts for breakfast, but a range of other cooked options are available too.

Their lunch menu includes burgers, pies, gourmet sandwiches, hearty salads and a few French options such as mussels ‘en papilotte’. However, the true heroes of the café are the sweets and treats. Think sweet or savoury scones, fanciful muffins, ice-creams, sorbets, tarts, doughnuts, cupcakes and brownies - you name it, Four & Twenty probably bakes it.

As expected, the café serves delicious coffees and tea, as well as some healthy pressed juices and local wines. Four & Twenty is open from 8am to 5pm every day, except Sundays when they are open from 9am to 4pm. Find them at 23 Wolfe Street in Wynberg.

The Mill Cafe

This artisanal coffee shop specialises in locally-roasted beans and a fine selection of teas. The Mill Cafe employs trained baristas to ensure that the coffee is served just as it should be. The coffee shop is also a comfortable space from which to work as they offer free WiFi, dedicated workstations and spacious couches.

The drinks offerings are pretty standard but there are some delicious options, such as hot chocolate with Nutella, Lindt white hot chocolate, red cappuccino and some specialty teas. They also serve build-your-own breakfasts as well as light lunch options such as quiche, sandwiches and salads in a jar.

The Mill Cafe is open from 7am to 4pm on weekdays, but they are closed on the weekends. Find them at 3 Millbank Road in Wynberg.

The View @ Chart Farm

Previously known as The Terrace, this friendly and warm coffee shop at Chart Farm boasts beautiful views of the Constantia Valley. Guests can choose to sit outside on the spacious patio and lawn or opt for the cosy interior if the weather is cold.

The View is also situated next to the impressive rose gardens of the farm and guests can pay to pick as many roses as they please. It is also a dog-friendly space provided your furry friends are well-behaved and kept on a leash.  

The View serves a variety of breakfasts and lunches, as well as some delicious homemade cakes and other treats. Tuck into a hearty scrambled egg breakfast or try their tasty toasties. The View also offers salads, wraps, rolls and burgers. Finish off your meal with a slice of cheesecake, carrot cake, lemon meringue, apple pie and more.

The coffee shop offers the usual teas, coffees, milkshakes and juices, but guests can also opt for a glass of wine while they take in the views. The View @ Chart Farm is open from 9am to 4:30pm every day of the week. Find them on the small private road just off Klaasens Road, right next to the M3 in Wynberg.
