What to expect on your whale watching journey
First, you'll start with a brief informative talk on what animals to look out for and the route you will be taking. Each passenger is offered a life jacket but this is not compulsory. You'll then launch from the fishing harbour of Gansbaai and travel along the Cliffs of De Kelders towards the Plaat beach. The trip generally lasts about two hours but can be longer depending on how quickly you find the whales.
A typical trip will have you exploring the magnificent coastline and bay between Gansbaai and Hermanus while looking for whales, dolphins, sharks, seals, penguins and seabirds.
