Barbeque Downs at a glance

About the suburb of Barbeque Downs

Barbeque Downs is an upmarket enclave close to the Kyalami Grand Prix Racetrack, situated to the south of the suburb of Kyalami. It has both a business park and residential properties. The residential properties are almost entirely within cluster and sectional title complexes. The Barbeque Downs Community organization is supported by many of the residents in the area, and funds raised are utilized to maintain the area.  They arrange social events such as the Halloween Trick or Treat walks through the area. Residents volunteer to assist with various services, from reporting matters to Council, collecting litter, and keeping residents updated on the suburb's affairs.  This sense of community makes Barbeque Downs popular with younger professionals and those with children looking for secure and family-friendly complexes and estates.
