Situated between the mountain and the famous 27 hole Hermanus Golf Course lies the pristine and beautiful upmarket suburb of Hermanus Heights where the Guinea fowls and Francolins have right of way!

Many of the streets are tree lined and homeowners proudly care for their attractive gardens and manicured verges. The residents feel safe to walk their dogs, jog and cycle in the area on a daily basis. There is also a 24 hour security patrol system.

The Fernkloof Nature Reserve situated behind Hermanus Heights covers 1800 ha in the Kleinrivier Mountains. Everyone can hike / walk in this unique reserve. There are many trails and each have spectacular coastal and mountain views with a variety of fauna and flora.

The Fernkloof Farmers' Market is held each Saturday at the local cricket ground next to Bosko Church from 8 - 1pm. There are many stalls offering homemade jams, honey, wine, plants, vegetables, bread & cakes, biltong to mention only a few. Crowds of locals meet there every Saturday for breakfast or just pancakes and coffee. Live music adds to the atmosphere! So bring your kids and dogs along, everyone is welcome!

Hermanus Heights is only a 5 minute drive into the centre of town or a 30 minute brisk walk. Close by within walking distance is Eastcliff Village Shopping Centre where there is a Spar supermarket, bottle store, hairdresser, boutique, bookshop and a coffee shop.

There are excellent schools within walking distance from Hermanus Heights i.e. Hermanus High School which has an excellent 100% matric pass rate, Hermanus Private School (ex Montessori) and the Bosko Christian School.

Also close by are the following places of worship: Church of England, Catholic Church, Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Synagogue. The United Church is a little further nearer to town.

When the peak summer season in Hermanus comes around and the town is jam packed with visitors and traffic, take a drive up to Hermanus Heights and experience the peace and tranquillity there.
