Special Attractions Near Brits.

The area is very popular with local South Africans as well as visitors. There are over 120 lodges and hotels to choose from, a popular option being the Dikhololo Resort & Wildlife Resort. This destination is well known for bringing families and holidaymakers to the Brits area, where they can enjoy game drives, swimming, super tubing, fishing, canoeing, and much more. 

Discerning golfers are spoilt for choice, with nearby Pecanwood Golf Club, Seasons Golf Leisure and Spa, Sandy Lane Golf Club and Magalies Park golf course.

The area is also well known amongst  4x4 specialists for its trails on the slopes of the Magaliesberg. Visitors can enjoy the varying diving training platforms at Miracle Waters, which was previously an open-cast chrome mine and provides the perfect environment for divers wanting to reach depths of 30 metres and practice wreck dives.

This is most definitely the area for extreme sports, and there is everything from Free Flying Adventures offering tandem hang glides to Hot Air Ballooning.

Visitors can pop into the Jo Roos Studio Gallery, which is a display of paintings and sculptures. The Borakalalo Nature Reserve is open to day visitors. This 14000-hectare reserve on the banks of the Moretele River is home to antelope, giraffes, and white rhino.
