About Chanelle Jonck
I’m Chanelle Jonck, a full-status Property Practitioner at Seeff Lydenburg, assisting clients with property sales and rentals across Lydenburg, Mashishing, Dullstroom, Burgersfort, Ohrigstad and Roossenekal.
My journey into property was anything but traditional.
I moved to Lydenburg in 2021 at just 20 years old and joined Seeff Lydenburg on 7 June 2021, starting as a receptionist and administrator. At the time, I never imagined that property would become my career.
One of my colleagues saw potential in me as a Property Practitioner and encouraged me to take the next step. In August 2022, I started my journey as a Candidate Property Practitioner—and that same month, I sold my very first property, valued at over R2 million, under the required supervision. I also secured my first exclusive sole mandate and sold the property within two weeks of it being listed.
Since then, I’ve continued to grow, learn and build my career in property. I completed my NQF4 in 2024 and my PDE4 in 2026, becoming a full-status Property Practitioner.
In 2024, I was fortunate enough to receive my first ooba Runner-Up Award for Division 5 at the Seeff Annual Awards, recognising my achievements during the 2023 year.
Today, I assist clients with residential property, investment properties, commercial property, sales and rentals. I particularly enjoy working with sellers and exclusive sole mandates, where I can put a focused marketing and sales strategy behind a property and work towards achieving the best possible result. In 2026, I started the year strongly, selling six exclusive sole mandates within my first quarter.
But numbers and awards aren't what matter most to me.
People do.
My clients often know me for going above and beyond, being patient, communicating honestly and taking the time to understand what they actually need. I believe in honesty over telling people what they want to hear. Sometimes the right advice isn't necessarily the easiest advice—but I believe my clients deserve to hear it.
My philosophy is simple:
People first. Property second. Always honest, always willing to go the extra mile.
I want my clients to feel that they have someone beside them throughout the process—not someone who is simply trying to close a deal.
My goal is to become the go-to Property Practitioner in Lydenburg and the surrounding areas—the person people think of when they need someone they can trust to buy, sell, rent or invest in property.
But there’s more to me than property.
I grew up in Secunda, where I finished high school before moving to Lydenburg. While working as an administrator at Seeff, I was also studying Forensic Science after hours—because becoming a doctor was never really going to happen, but CSI sounded pretty interesting.
When I moved to Lydenburg, I fell in love with the surrounding areas, the mountains, nature and adventure. Put a waterfall or an adventure in front of me and I’m probably there.
Family and friends are incredibly important to me, and one value I try to live by is:
“Don’t do something to someone that you wouldn’t want done to yourself.”
I’m naturally friendly, goofy, loving and sometimes probably a little too hard on myself. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and creating genuine connections.
I’m also a big animal lover, always keen for a good coffee and, let's be honest, I’m not starting the day without one. Coffee first. Red Bull… also yes.
Real estate has taught me many things, but one of the biggest lessons has been that you can't be a people pleaser. You can't be everything to everyone—and you don't have to be.
The right people will appreciate you for exactly who you are.
And that's the kind of Property Practitioner I want to be: knowledgeable and professional, but still approachable, honest, human and completely myself.
Whether you're selling your home, buying your next property, looking for a rental, letting out an investment, purchasing commercial property or simply trying to understand the property market, I’m here to help.
