The northern gates of the Kruger National Park are within 2,5 km away from Polokwane and for the golf lovers there is the fabulous Polokwane Golf club, with its generous fairways. 

The Polokwane Game Reserve is 10 minutes from the city centre. It is home to White Rhino, Giraffe and Antelope species. The reserve has a caravan site, picnic spots, horse trails, mountain biking and hiking trails.
