Profile

I joined the Seeff Group on the 11 December 1985 after spending 12 years in banking where I was the Regional Trainer for one of the largest banking groups, today known as ABSA
I saw an opportunity in the Property Industry as at the time the then Estate Agents Affairs Board had just implemented the old Board Examination.
After attending one of my training courses Samuel Seeff invited me to join their company to take over the education and training portfolio that their late dad had started 10 years earlier. Loraine, my wife and I took the opportunity and we spent the next 10 years building the Seeff Group form a small business with 32 agents to what it is today.
Initially my focus was on education within the industry as a whole and in the 10 years in which we ran the Seeff Training Academy we must have educated more than 20000 agents in the Industry.
In 1996 the Estate Agents Affairs Board decided to do away with the compulsory training for Estate Agents and we had to change our focus. Loraine and I were offered the Pinelands Branch as a License and I was appointed as regional manager for the Western Cape, whilst continuing with training for the group.
Since then Loraine and I have built the Pinelands License to be one of the top small licenses in the group winning many awards for best licence of the year. Loraine and I were also recognized with the Chairman’s award a few years ago. Today we run a very successful; small license with an annual turnover in excess of R150m per annum with 10 staff members and a large rental portfolio.

My motto “Find purpose in your life and you are never too old to learn”
