What a spectacular view of the Umdloti beach, not to mention you can literally throw a stone from your apartment and land it on the beach.

The main bedroom like most apartments is larger and situated at the back with its own en suite bathroom.
There are two cosy rooms and both share a bathroom.
The entire apartment is 99m2 and is pet friendly with permission.
There is unfortunately no holiday letting allowed however long term letting is not a problem.
The lift is top class and like the building, is regularly serviced.

Umdloti is one of the most pristine little towns in South Africa. Umdloti consists of four main roads, Jabu Ngcobo Drive/Main road, Bellamont Road, North beach Road and South Beach Road. There are a couple of smaller roads joined to South Beach road such as First Avenue, Margaret Bacon, Second Avenue, Third Avenue and Newsel Road.

Having only one road into Umdloti makes it very difficult for crime to enter not to mention the neighbourhood watch, UIP check points and private security vehicles all deterring the worst of societies individuals from entering this stunning slice of paradise.

Like any beach weather and swells can be predicted and planed around. If you are an avid beach goer and love all types of ocean activity then Umdloti has it all. The surf gets really good and the fishing is amazing just off the coast, you can launch small craft or Jet Ski’s from the launch site on south beach. Fortunately for those who like calmer waters, Umdloti has the most amazing natural swimming tidal pools. The only thing you need to watch out for is the outgoing high tide during spring tides, apart from that it is the safest place for your children and family to enjoy our beautiful and warm Indian ocean.

Let us look at some of the amenities that Umdloti has to offer. If you are looking to fill up the pantry and stock up for the week or just need to grab the odd item then the Umdloti spar has it all. If you want to celebrate the new year or a special occasion then there are two bottle stores for you to choose from and look no further if you need to grab a bite to eat, or spoil yourself because Umdloti has you covered from a five star restaurant to a fish n chips take out. In no particular order I will name the restaurants. Bell Punto(5 star Italian seafood-South Beach Road), Mundo Vida(seafood/grill-South Beach Road ), bush tavern (pub/take out-South Beach Road), Java Cafe(breakfast-South Beach Road), Sand Bar(Sea food/Grills-North Beach Road ), Tasca’s (pizza-North Beach Road) and La Casa (Italian- spar centre).Umdloti also has two hair salon’s a arts and craft store a pharmacy a deli a two surf shops a laundry and a library.

Jaco Ngcobo Drive is the main road coming into Umdloti, there are only one or two complexes coming off this road and at the bass is
the Umdloti circle.Half way down Jaco Ngcobo Drive and on the left is Bellamont Road.

Bellamont road is a spectacular drive both up the hill and along the entirety of the road stretching around five kilometres. There is beautiful green vegetation on either side of the houses that stretch along Bellamont and boy are there some nice houses. It’s very rare to have a house on Bellamont road that doesn’t have the most spectacular sea views. Bellamont also has two of the biggest complexes in Umdloti being Surfside and Club Mykonos, with smaller more prestigious buildings scattered here and there. It is not uncommon to see different types of buck, dyker, mongoose, guinea fowl and monkeys along this lush road.

From the circle comes North and South Beach road. North Beach Road is one long road that ends in a cul-de-sac and along the road are mostly upmarket apartment blocks with one or two houses scattered along the way. All of these homes and apartment look right onto the beach and are so close it would take you less than a minute to walk across the road and sink your toes into the warm sand. There are also a few plots that haven’t been developed, just waiting for the right developer.

South Beach Road also ends in a dead end but has seven smaller roads coming off of it along the way. The South side does have a few complexes and apartment blocks but is more known for the beautiful upmarket houses. These houses range anywhere from four million to eighteen million in price. This side is a lot more exclusive and the beaches are quieter. Newsel Road is just behind South Beach road and is a very family friendly safe road, perfect for a jog or bike ride. Although some of these houses don’t have the views that the South Beach road houses do they are more sheltered from the elements and salt air.

This is one of the toughest decisions to make when buying in Umdloti. Do you buy a lock up and go apartment that is more affordable depending on the person or do you buy a standalone house for more privacy. Do you buy right on the beach in order to have uninterrupted sea views or do you buy just off the beach in order to combat the effects of the elements, either way this is still the place to live and is by far the safest choice when considering the growth of your property value.
