The hottest months of the year are January and February, when the mercury soars into the 30s on a typical day, with minimum temperatures typically being around 24°C. Rainfall is relatively high all year round, but the months in which you are least likely to experience a rainy day are October and November.

Schools in the vicinity of Tamarin include Telfair International Primary School, which is a small community school boasting a warm and happy atmosphere as well as low numbers in classes to maximise the individual attention that each pupil receives. The closest airport to Tamarin is Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, which is in Port Louis. This is approximately 52km away via the M2, and it will take you approximately an hour and ten minutes to make the trip.
