Wittedrift A H at a glance
Wittedrift is a small rural village ten kilometres east of Plettenberg Bay. Situated in the beautiful Bitou River valley, the wetlands are a paradise for bird watchers, indeed for anyone who enjoys the peace of unspoilt countryside. Wittedrift boasts its own game reserve, while other outdoor activities include cycling, canoeing, swimming and walking (the Eden-Addo hiking trail wends its way along the borders of Wittedrift).
This friendly village is ideal for families as there is a primary and high school only a short walk from most homes. After school, children are able to play safely in the quiet streets.
Wittedrift is situated midway between Plettenberg Bay and Keurbooms, which means that residents are in the delightful position of having only a ten minute drive to enjoy the facilities offered by Plettenberg Bay, but if wanting to escape the busyness of the tourist season a ten minute drive in the opposite direction brings you to the quiet Blue Flag beaches of Keurbooms.
This area is presently ripe for investment as the Residents’ Association has initiated a project which aims to transform Wittedrift into a very attractive garden village.
