Elands Bay at a glance

Elands Bay is situated about 2 hours drive on the R27 north of Cape Town.  What makes Elands Bay so attractive is that it is undiscovered, uncommercial and unspoilt.

Elands Bay is one of the few places on the West Coast with mountains, wetlands, never-ending white beaches and snowwhite dunes.

If you are determined to get away from it all, you couldn’t do better than peaceful, tranquil West Coast, a property in Elands Bay!

Verlorenvlei, which is the largest natural estuary on the West Coast,  lies at the foot of the Bobbejaan Mountain and runs into the Atlantic Ocean here at Elands Bay.  Verlorenvlei is regarded as the most rewarding birding destination in the Western Cape.  It is a bird watchers paradise and home to over 240 species of wild birds.

This popular seaside resort is well-known for its delectable sea cuisine.  It is also the mecca of Western Cape surfing where surfers can enjoy the left breakers.  Other attractions include abundant wildflowers in season, whale and dolphin watching, rock art and various caves.

The town offers delectable cuisine at the ever popular Talm-Langer Restaurant, comfortable and affordable accommodation at the Elands Bay Hotel, a Police Station, Post Office, 2 Café’s, and a roving clinic which visits the town twice a week.

Seeff Elands Bay can offer you a limited amount of stands with a sea view or alternatively you can own a stand overlooking Verlorenvlei with its abundant bird life.

Redelinghuys

This peaceful village is tucked away deep within the rugged beauty of the Sandveld.   It lies approximately 190km north of Cape Town in the upper reaches of the well-known Verlorenvlei.   It also makes an excellent base for one day trips to the beaches of Elands Bay,  Lamberts Bay, and to tour the surrounding area of Clanwilliam to see the  flowers and fynbos

Hondeklip Bay

This quaint little village is situated 110km southwest of SpringbokThe town has a local caravan park which is situated  approximately 50m from the main beach.
