The Oliver Tambo International Airport is only a 15-minute drive from Edenvale. Johannesburg CBD is about 19 minutes southwest of Edenvale. It is roughly 26 minutes (18.6 km) to Sandton via the N3 Eastern Bypass, and 41 minutes (52.1 km) to Pretoria via the Ben Schoeman Freeway /N1.

Medical & Health facilities

There are reliable health services in the area, including the Edenvale hospital providing comprehensive healthcare facilities. Busamed is in Modderfontein, this is an award-winning South African hospital group which provides specialist services. It will take approximately 17 minutes (10.6km) to Busamed from Edenvale Central.

Bedford Life Gardens is 8 minutes away (3.9km) in Bedfordview. Both Netcare Medicross and Edenvale Dental are in Edenvale Central. They provide high-quality treatments for residents.

Education in Edenvale

There are several reputable educational opportunities for all ages. These include Edenglen Primary School, Dunvegan Primary, Hurlyvale Primary, Curro Edenvale Primary school and Curro Edenvale High School in Highway Gardens. Edenvale High School is a popular school with a history of academic excellence. Holy Rosary, a private girl's school is known for its holistic education. There are also many other top schools in and around the Edenvale Area.

Shopping Centres:

Edenvale is a hub when it comes to shopping. Popular choices include Greenstone Mall, Eden Meadows, Green valley in Greenstone, Flamingo Mall in Modderfontein, Linksfield Terrace, Stoneridge shopping centre, Bedford Centre, and Eastgate.

There is also the Neighbourhood lifestyle development and shopping complex. There is a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment in the Edenvale area.

Other options include Piccolo Rosso at the Glen Curve shopping centre. Malagueta Mediterranean family restaurant in Eastleigh in Edenvale, and Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill.

At the Flamingo shopping centre in Modderfontein 10 minutes (6.3km) from Edenvale Central, there is the very popular Buonissimo Pizza and Prosecco Cafe. It offers dine-in, kerb-side pickup and deliveries.

Special Attractions in Edenvale Central include Horwood's Farm, a destination of the Urban Markets. Horwood Farm Market is an open-air market with increasing popularity, gourmet foods and crafters. Modderfontein farmers market is a food and craft market. Gillooly's farm is close by, offering walks and bird watching. Edenvale has three nearby golf courses, Modderfontein Golf Club, Glendower, and Huddle Park Golf Course. Huddle is also a recreational area that offers Futbol and Paddel and it is a popular park for walking, and mountain biking offering 3km and 5 km demarcated walks. People can also take their dogs for walks, and it is a lovely area for families to visit.

There is a Department of Home Affairs office in Edenvale, which is a busy hub for people needing to get their documents in order. Edenvale Central has a blend of family homes, townhouses, apartments and commercial property for rent and for sale.
