The suburb of Kloofsig is one of the smallest suburbs in Centurion. The suburb consists of approximately 217 houses and 3 townhouses. The suburb is popular with first time buyers as it is very affordable. The type of properties varies and includes houses, townhouses and duets, The freehold stands range in size from 600 sm to 2,000 sm.(Average size of 800sm) The price of houses ranges from R730,000 to R1,280,000 (2012) (Average of R715,000) . The suburb is bordered by College Road to the North (Groenkloof Nature Reserve), by Theodore Street to the South, Smuts Avenue to the East, and Botha Avenue/Main Road (M18) to the West.

Due to the fact that Kloofsig is one of the older suburbs in Centurion, most of the properties have large well established wooded gardens. Kloofsig is positioned close to the Waterkloof Airforce base and is only about 5km from Pretoria city central.

Shopping Centres in the immediate vicinity include the Centurion Mall, Doringkloof Mall, Lyttelton Centre, Southdown’s Mall, Eco Park Mall and the Centurion Crescent Centre.

Sports facilities in the surrounding areas include pilates, bowls and tennis, dance, athletics, shooting, baseball, rugby, baseball and gymnastics. Whilst the surrounding suburbs of Irene, Lyttelton and Die Hoewes offers many other sports facilities.

Kloofsig is close to a number of schools including Southdown’s College (Private School), Doringkloof Primary, Lyttelton Manor High, Centurion High, Fleur Primary, Cornwall Hill College (Private School) Louis Leipolt Primary, Zwartkop High, Hennopspark Primary and Lyttelton Primary. There are also twenty three Nursery Schools and crèches in the surrounding suburbs of Doringkloof, Die Hoewes and Lyttelton.

Kloofsig has a total of eighteen parks and public places available in the surrounding suburbs, many of which follow the spruit that runs through the middle of Doringkloof. The closest Post Office is the Postnet in the Doringkloof Mall as well as the Lyttelton Post Office in Cradock Avenue. The closest library is in Cantonments Road in Lyttelton. There are no Guesthouses in Kloofsig, but there are eleven Guest Houses available in Doringkloof and Lyttelton.

Churches in the area include Dutch Reformed (NG Church), Jacobs Well Youth Ministry and the Seventh Day Adventist church. The surrounding areas of Irene and Lyttelton have all the usual churches including Baptist, Anglican, Catholic, Presbyterian and Methodist etc. The Unitas hospital is about 4km from Kloofsig, the Highveld Medical Centre about 5km, the Southdown’s Medical Centre about 7km and the Doringkloof Medicross is about 4km away.

The Gautrain station in West Street in Centurion is within 6 km of Kloofsig, making it very easy for commuters to access the train. A dedicated Gautrain bus service also goes via Lyttelton. Kloofsig also offers easy access to the N1 and N14, for commuters travelling by car to either Pretoria, Midrand, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, Krugersdorp, OR Tambo International Airport as well as Lanseria Airport.

The closest police station is the Lyttelton Police Station situated in Basden Street, Lyttelton.
