Clubview at a glance

The suburb of Clubview is an old established and well treed suburb in Centurion, with old world charm, large stands, and properties with wooden floors. The Hennops River flows through the centre of Clubview. It is very popular amongst the artistic people and nature lovers. Today the suburb consists of approximately 800 houses and 700 townhouses. This is a very popular suburb and is centrally situated in Centurion. The type of properties available include houses, townhouses, duets, apartments, vacant land, clusters, guesthouses, security estates and new developments. The freehold stands range in size from 400 sm to 2,800 sm. The price of houses ranges from R990, 000 to R4, 500,000 (2012) and the price of townhouses from R400, 000 to R2, 300,000 (2012). The cost of vacant land varies from R450, 000 to 750,000 (2012). The suburb is fairly stable in that 70% of the residents have lived in their current house for more than 5 years. Within Clubview are some popular Estates such as Zwartkop Estate which is in the grounds of the Zwartkop Country Club, St Andrews Estate and Zwartkop Greens. Guest Lodges include Wild Olive, Hampton House, The Green House, Alala Lodge, J Cups, Bloemhoek, Leriba Lodge, Golden Pippet, Kleinkaap, Sorrex Estate, Tuishuis, Tossy’s and Clubview Guesthouse.

The suburb boasts a number of conference and wedding venues including Leriba Lodge, Golden Pippet, Klein Kaap and Sorrex Estate. There are a number of excellent restaurants and Tea Gardens as well as the Khai-Thai Spa. One of the popular pubs, the Pepper Chair is situated in the Clubview Shopping Centre. Two plant nurseries are found in the area, namely Eldo Falls which boasts a restaurant and Tuingenoot. The area also has a small riding school with stables.

The suburb is bounded by the Zwartkop Airforce base to the North, the old Johannesburg Road (R101) to the West, the Ben Schoeman (N14) to the East and Lyttelton Road to the South.

The Zwartkop Airforce base is the home of the South African Airforce museum which is very popular with tourists. An annual air show is held at the Airport. The Zwartkop Country club with the Hennops River running through it is also very popular and Dale Hayes who regularly appears on TV is the resident pro. Opposite the Zwartkop Golf Estate is a Golf driving range.

Shopping Malls in the immediate vicinity include the Clubview Shopping Centre, Clubview Corner shopping centre as well as the Eldoraigne Village Centre (1km). These Centres include most popular shops such as supermarkets, butcheries, pizza shops and Chinese restaurants etc.

In the heart of Clubview lies the Alpha Centurion sports club which offers tennis, squash, athletics, running and the run/walk for life club. Also present at the centre are a pigeon club and dog training club.

Schools in the area include Hennopspark Primary, Reformia, Regio and Zwartkop High. Nursery schools include Montessori and Sunshine Corner. The Prue Leith Food College is also situated in Clubview. Churches in the area include NG Sesmylspruit and the Lewende Woord. The Planet Fitness gym is also found in Hennopspark, about 2km away.

The Unitas hospital is about 5km away, and the Saxby Medical and Dental Centre about 1km. The closest library is in Eldoraigne and the nearest police station is Wierda Bridge in Valhalla.

Clubview offers easy access to commuters travelling to either Pretoria or Johannesburg, via the N1 (Ben Schoeman Highway) or the old Johannesburg road. It also offers easy access to the East via Trichard Street onto the Ben Schoeman Highway (N1).
