Bronberrick at a glance

The suburb of Bronberrick which is situated more or less in the centre of Centurion is one of the more established areas with beautiful gardens and plenty of trees. The suburb consists of approximately 182 houses and 38 townhouses. The suburb is popular with the middle class as it is very centrally situated in Centurion in terms of accessibility with the Reds Mall and the Centurion Mall being just around the corner. The type of properties varies and includes houses, townhouses, duets, apartments, vacant land, clusters, guesthouses, security estates and new developments. The freehold stands range in size from 400 sm to 2,000 sm. The price of houses ranges from R1,230,000 to R2,700,000 (2012) whilst the price of townhouses ranges from R680,000 to R2,380,000 (2012). There are no vacant stands available. The property owners in Bronberrick are stable as 80% of the owners have lived in their houses for more than 5 years.

The suburb is bordered by the Blarney Road (Hennopspark) to the North, Old Johannesburg Road (R101) to the West, Ben Schoeman Freeway (N14) to the East and Pine Avenue to the South.

Due to the fact that Bronberrick is one of the older suburbs in Centurion, most of the properties have large well established wooded gardens. Residents prefer Bronberrick for its convenient location, variety of dwellings, tranquil environment and the fact that there is very little building activity in the area.

Shopping Centres in the immediate vicinity include the Reds Mall, Centurion Lifestyle Centre, Centurion Mall, Sutherland shopping Centre, Koedoe Arcade, Clubview Shopping Centre, Clubview Corner Shopping Centre, Eldoraigne Village, and Wierda Two Centre. The area also has a number of smaller shopping centres with the usual cafes and convenience stores.

Sports facilities in Bronberrick include karate, swimming, yoga, dancing, basketball, diving and planet fitness, whilst the neighbouring suburbs of Hennopspark, Clubview, Zwartkop and Eldoraigne offer athletics, golf, pigeon racing, chess, golf, running, walking, bowls, squash, tennis, snooker, golf driving range, horse riding, wrestling, and ballet.

Bronberrick is central to a number of schools including Zwartkop High, Eldoraigne High, Sutherland High, Hennopspark Primary, Bakenkop Primary, Springvale Primary, Cresta College, Montessori, and Wierda Park Primary. There is one Nursery School and crèche in Bronberrick, whilst Hennopspark has another eight.

Being an older established suburb, Bronberrick has a child safe park in Galway Avenue, but also has easy access to all the parks in the neighbouring suburbs. The closest post office is the Wierda Park Post Office on the corner of Willem Botha Street and Ruimte Road. The nearest library is situated in Eldoraigne on Ireland Avenue. The only Guesthouse is Sonia’s Cosy Cottage Guest House although Eldoraigne, Zwartkop and Clubview have another thirty eight Guest Houses. Wierda Park, Eldoraigne and Clubview have six Nurseries which are accessible to residents of Bronberrick.

Churches in the area include Baptist, Hervormde, Anglican, Lewende Woord, Gereformeerde, NG, AGS, Christ is the way, New Life, Methodist, Apostolic, etc. Bronberrick has easy access to many Medical Centres including the Bakenkop Medical Centre and Wierda Park Day Clinic in Wierda Park, Medicross in Eldoraigne and the Medicross in Zwartkop, whilst the Unitas hospital is about 6km from Hennopspark. The Provincial clinic is situated in Eldoraigne.

Bronberrick also offers easy access to the N1 and N14, for commuters travelling by car to either Pretoria, Midrand, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, Krugersdorp, OR Tambo International Airport as well as Lanseria Airport.

The closest police station is the Wierda Bridge Police Station situated in Valhalla.
