Meadowridge at a glance
Meadowridge lies between Tokai and Constantia and is next door to Bergvliet. It is the second Garden City in Cape Town and was officially opened on 23 March 1955.
Local shopping centres are Meadowridge Park 'n Shop and Meadowridge Shopping Centre (the first shopping centre). Nearby schools are Bergvliet Primary School, Sweet Valley Primary School and Bergvliet High School.
Meadowridge, as its name suggests, is a green suburb. Its streets are tree-lined; there are plenty of open spaces and parks and several wonderful views of the Constantiaberg Mountains and aspects of Table Mountain. Meadowridge is typical of upmarket suburban living in the Mother City and the lifestyle here is sedate and easygoing.
Access to Cape Town’s city centre from Meadowridge is excellent, with quick access on to the M3 and only a 20 minute trip before one reaches Cape Town Central.
