Hout Bay / Llandudno - Western Cape
Hout Bay and Llandudno are separated from each other by Klein Leeukop
and Suikerbossie. Both suburbs have superb sea views and the properties
are some of the finest in Cape Town.
Hout Bay is a beautiful seaside valley surrounded by majestic mountains
and fringed by pure white sand along the extensive bay. It offers
some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
The area is steeped in history and there are a host of activities
from bird and whale watching to fine dining. Dwarfed by mountains
on all sides it is one of the few areas in South Africa that is
surrounded by nature reserve.
Local residents who are very jealous and protective of the rural
setting still fondly refer to Hout Bay as a 'village'. There are
four shopping malls and a host of restaurants amongst which is the
well-known Mariners Wharf, a world famous emporium of seafood bistros,
restaurants, fresh fish and crayfish markets.
The quaint working harbour incorporates its own well-equipped pleasure
craft mariner run by the local yacht club.
Once a quiet fishing village, Hout Bay is now a popular and bustling
coastal resort and a prime investment area.
Part of Llandudno's magic is its setting. Nestling on and between
the Klein Leeukop Mountain and the 12th Apostle of Table Mountain,
it overlooks a fine, sandy, white beach and the ever changing Atlantic
Ocean.
Llandudno is an exclusive Riviera boasting one of the Cape's most
sheltered and best-loved beaches. This is a small stretch of very
exclusive and private real estate due to the nature of its situation,
restricted development and only one access road. Llandudno is a
prime investment area with tremendous capital appreciation.
Those who live in Llandudno and work in the centre of Cape Town
are able to enjoy one of the most scenic and spectacular drives
anywhere in the world each morning as they commute in to the office.
