Amanzimtoti Property - KwaZulu-Natal
Amanzimtoti is a stunning seaside town on the KwaZulu-Natal coast,
25 kilometres to the south of Durban. Amanzimtoti is a popular town
for real estate and property investors who are looking for a holiday
house close to Durban or for the more affluent businessman who commutes
to Durban daily.
There are many beautiful homes, villas, apartments, townhouses,
security complexes and guest houses for sale or rental. The unusual
name comes from an exclamation 'Kanti! Amanzi a mtoti' that the
Zulu warrior-king Shaka is said to have made when he stopped at
the bank of a local river to quench his thirst. It means 'So! The
water is sweet'.
Amanzimtoti has a balmy, sub-tropical climate. The excellent beaches
attract sunbathers especially at Inyoni Rocks and Pipeline. Swimming
in the warm Indian Ocean is safe and there is very good fishing
in the area.
Amanzimtoti has a superb infrastructure with good schools, many
shops, sporting and leisure amenities and good medical services.
Entertainment is well catered for and there are many excellent restaurants,
bars and pubs.
Nature lovers will enjoy the nearby Ilanda Wilds, which is a small
but richly vegetated riverine patch. It is home to a large variety
of birds and 120 different kinds of trees and shrub. It is a popular
place for nature walks and picnics.
The Umdoni Bird Sanctuary also provides a short nature trail as
well as bird watching hides. There are many indigenous and exotic
species including waterfowl, herons and giant and pygmy kingfishers.
Seeff Amanzimtoti can assist you with a wide selection of residential
property for sale and rental including houses, apartments, cluster
