Parys Property - Orange Free State
Parys offers property and real estate investors a wide range of
quality homes. These properties vary from large, rambling houses
to smaller houses and apartments.
Parys is on the Free State side of the Vaal River and was named
after the French capital by a German surveyor in 1870. The man who
fought in the siege of Parys against the British allegedly said
that the town and river reminded him of its European namesake. The
town is a popular holiday resort and offers all sorts of activities
like fishing, swimming river rafting and boating.
At Parys, the Vaal River divides into a network of streams and rivulets
that flow around lush, green islands to beckon the rambler, the
bird-watcher and the contemplative fisherman. The willows are especially
prolific and beautiful and the civic gardens luxuriant. Parys is
a prime Highveld resort centre that offers a wide range of visitor
and vacation amenities.
Two or three of the islands, among them Woody, Long and Golf islands,
have been developed for leisure and recreation. The willow-shaded
banks are tailor-made for picnics and rambles, the river itself
for boating, angling and water sports. Golf Island, reached via
a picturesque suspension bridge, hosts a nine-hole course.
The Likkewaan Hiking Trail is a 20-kilometre route that takes you
to and around the celebrated Vredefort Dome, a huge geological curiosity
caused by the impact of an ancient meteorite.
Seeff Parys can assist you with a wide selection of residential
property for sale and rental including houses, apartments, cluster
developments, security villages, land and guesthouses.
