KwaZulu-Natals Queensburgh seeing active property market
Jul 20, 2010
Seeff Queensburgh is reporting a much busier 2010 so far compared to activity in 2009. SaysLicensee of Seeff Queensburgh, Jan Vermeulen: By the end of June 2010 we had concluded 55 sales to the value of R40836200. This already exceeds our sales for the whole of 2009, where we sold 68 properties at R40513000.
Seeff Queensburgh is currently in second position in terms of sales in KwaZulu-Natal for Seeff (with Berea first) and in 26th position in the entire Seeff Group nationally (in June 2009 they were in 54th position). Says Vermeulen: The highest priced property we sold in the first 6 months of this year was for R2.3m in central Malvern for a house that has it all, while the cheapest one sold for R325000 which was a basic two-bedroom house in Mulberry Park.

Vermeulen puts the branchs success down to the quality and passion of the agents, saying that on the Seeff National Top 20 ladder for the year to date (1 January 30 June 2010) Seeff Queensburgh agents are in the following positions: National Top 20 Residential Sales (Units) - Eve Gangiah, second position with 19 units; and National Top 20 Residential Sales (Units) (Partnerships) - Sharmala Reddy and Kay Naidoo are in 19th position with 9 units sold.
